Peaks to the Pacific

Four Rosewood lodges and Otahuna, Queenstown to the Bay of Islands. This journey brings together the three Rosewood lodges and Otahuna Lodge, travelling from south to north. You start beside Lake Wakatipu, beneath the Remarkables. Then come the gardens at Otahuna and two working coastal stations, where golf courses run along the clifftops above the Pacific.

Queenstown, Rosewood Matakauri

Day 1 Arrive in Queenstown. A 20-minute drive takes you to the lodge on the shore of Lake Wakatipu.

Day 2 Discovery Helicopter over the Southern Alps to Milford Sound Piopiotahi, with a glacier landing and a cruise on the fiord.

Day 3 Gibbston Valley wineries and Arrowtown with a private guide, then dinner at Amisfield, New Zealand's only restaurant with Two Michelin Stars.

Day 4 A day at the lodge for the spa and a lakeside picnic, with guided stargazing after dark.

Christchurch, Otahuna Lodge

Day 5 Fly to Christchurch. Spend the afternoon in the gardens of the house Sir Heaton Rhodes built in 1895.

Day 6 Banks Peninsula and Akaroa, with a private harbour cruise to look for Hector's dolphins.

Day 7 Signature A private tour of the expansive garden, followed by a hands-on cooking class. An afternoon massage in the spa awaits.

Hawke's Bay, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers

Day 8 Fly to Napier. Play a round of golf or take a clifftop walk on the station.

Day 9 Signature The Cape Kidnappers gannet colony (September to May), then a night walk in Cape Sanctuary to look for kiwi.

Day 10 Shepherding with the station's farmhands, followed by Hawke's Bay wineries and Art Deco Napier.

Northland, Rosewood Kauri Cliffs

Day 11 Fly north to Kerikeri, then on to 6,000 acres of farmland, forest and private beaches.

Day 12 Discovery Pōwhiri at Te Ahurea, then the Stone Store and Kemp House before you sail back to the lodge with lunch on board.

Day 13 Golf, riding or the spa, then a private dinner cooked for you on Pink Beach.

Day 14 Fly from Kerikeri to Auckland to connect with your international flight.
